Program supports students with a CEME Undergraduate Research and Leadership Award of $10,000 per academic year. Awardees work an average of ten hours per week on research projects in CEME laboratories during the academic year, successfully complete CEME-related courses, and actively participate in a leadership role in a range of CEME programs. In spring 2008, Samatha Gunter and Taylor Wu were selected. Samantha will be a senior in fall 2008 and Taylor a junior.

 

2008 Grainger Awards Banquet

The 2008 Grainger Awards Banquet was held on April 23, 2008, in the Grainger Library. Twenty-one students finishing their B.S., M.S and Ph.D. degrees each received $6,000 through the Grainger Foundation.

Solar Decathlon 2007

The Solar Decathlon is a competition where twenty university teams design and build a sustainable and energy-efficient house completely powered by solar energy. In the 2007 Solar Decathlon, the University of Illinois placed 9th overall, while winning first place in market viability and comfort zone. Read about the UI Solar Decathlon Team.
