Director of the Thin Film and Charged Particle Research Laboratory. He collaborates with the CEME in the fabrication of gallium nitride-based power devices.

Jonathan Kimball

CEME’s research engineer. He has industrial experience in power electronics and motors. He advised the Future Energy Challenge student team, manages the labs, and assists with student projects. Also a PhD student, his research interests include drives, control, and other energy-conversion areas.

A Grainger Associate and works in the area of power system operations and simulation. He is interested in visualization tools for all aspects of electric power and is developing visualization tools that illustrate dynamic magnetic fields in motors.
